Fancy a Festival?

Fancy a Festival?

If you’re looking for a great way to spend a weekend, why not venture out to one of the many festivals held in regional Australia in the next couple of months? September saw a host of events across regional Australia: The Little Tribe Festival & TimberFest in Mackay, Capricorn Food & Wine Festival in Rockhampton, RiverFest & SpringFest in Dubbo.  Don’t despair if you missed these, many great festivals are still on the Spring calendar.

How about a planning a visit to Mackay for Global Grooves? The region’s largest multicultural festival is held at the picturesque Queens Park in South Mackay on Saturday 21 October. The open-air event is free to the public and features a smorgasbord of cultural cuisines, colourful dances and live global music, the perfect family-friendly outing.

Continuing the theme of fabulous regional cuisine, the Long Table Multicultural Food Event in the Main Street of Chinchilla is scheduled for Saturday 14 October. And Chinchilla also plays host to the Grandfather Clock Campdraft on 19-22 October and Chinchilla Downtown is proud to be hosting the judges for the annual event.

The Crush Festival & Spirit of Bundaberg Festival in Bundaberg runs through to October 21 with a fabulous line-up of activities. There’s something for everyone from Gallery and Studio Trails, Film Festival and Sand sculptures.
