What do our guests love about The Aberdeen in Dubbo?

Superior service and a great central location are the reasons most people choose to stay with us when in Dubbo.

Add to the attraction now our completely refurbished facilities, boasting high quality guest rooms truly reflecting our four-star standard. A quick glance at our recent guest reviews will have you convinced that this is the place to stay in Dubbo – whether you’re travelling for business or leisure.

Speaking of leisure, the Dubbo Dream Festival is a great excuse to visit in October.

Lazy Sundays on the Lake Deck

Lazy Sundays on the Lake Deck

Every Sunday in November from 12pm-4pm, the Lake Deck at Windmill Motel and Event Centre is opening for locals and guests.

Our new Chef Jayson has designed a fresh Summer Lake Deck menu especially for this.

Each week will showcase a different local musician playing live laidback acoustic music while you grab a cool drink, tasty snack or early dinner.  A great way to finish off a Summer weekend.

Delicious Spring Produce to Tempt the Tastebuds

Delicious Spring Produce to Tempt the Tastebuds

It tempts us!

And our chefs love putting together inventive and delicious dishes with as much local produce as they can find. Chef Peter at Station Restaurant Parkes has put together a Spring menu which is getting rave reviews. The Asian-glazed pork cutlet is a standout dish but do save room for dessert.

The Palms Seafood Buffet on Friday and Saturday nights is getting rave reviews, and features an amazing array of delicacies, with plenty of options for seafood lovers and their land lubber friends. A terrific option for a crowd – large groups are welcome.

The end of the year is almost upon us and if you haven’t yet thought of booking that end of year event, staff party or Christmas gathering, now would be a good time to do so.  Our restaurants welcome group bookings and we’re always happy to work with you to ensure the food, beverages and service suit your function.

Happy Birthday to Us!

Happy Birthday to Us!

Station Motel in Parkes celebrated its tenth birthday in style with a black-tie dinner hosted by managers Karyn and Ian Wade-Parker.

Guests included local dignitaries including the Mayor of Parkes, Mr Ken Keith as well as our CEO, Liam Kelly.

On the night, Liam, a dedicated data man, shared some interesting statistics with the guests. Across the past ten years, Station Motel has hosted 125,000 guests, made almost that same number of beds, served 55,000 breakfasts, 88,000 dinners and welcomed locals and visitors alike with its signature hospitality and attentive service.

While he stopped short of calculating the total number of sheets and towels (a lot), that’s an enormous contribution by any standard.

Karyn and Ian are particularly proud of the service provided by their staff: we’d love for you to experience it first-hand.

Chomping at the Bit for Melbourne Cup Day celebrations

Chomping at the Bit for Melbourne Cup Day celebrations

By now you’ll have organised your Cup day celebrations – an office sweep perhaps, a fascinator or two and some chicken and champagne delivered to the door.

At the end of the festivities, if you’re looking for somewhere to kick back and finish your day, look no further than one of our welcoming motel restaurants or bars: Canecutters Kitchen in Bundaberg, Station Restaurant Parkes, The Palms Chinchilla, The Mill in Mackay and Coffee House Rockhampton.

All of our restaurants are open for business Tuesday evenings and we welcome you and your guests to celebrate your wins or commiserate and recover after a big day out.
