Current Positions Vacant:
Property Manager/Management Team – Outback Caravan Park & Cabins, Tennant Creek
we are seeking experienced Park Managers for a 1 year minimum contract to manage and oversee the day to day operations of our busy park.
The Managers role will encompass the smooth running of the operation; responsible in achieving efficient and effective park operations and delivery of superior customer service and quality outcomes, maximising profitability, and enhancing the guest experience through effective management strategies and initiatives.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations within each department, including Red Shop, Reception, Bar & seasonal food and beverage, housekeeping, grounds and maintenance
- Provide support and training to other staff members.
- Manage the operational performance of the park by exceeding set budgetary requirements.
- Proactively seek sales and marketing opportunities
- Manage the Retail on-site shop
- Manage performance of employees, coordinate recruitment, induction, training, and development of staff.
- Manage and resolve guest concerns in a timely and appropriate manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and report weekly and monthly upon the parks financial performance
- Ensure the park is compliant with all company guidelines and laws

Reservationists Wanted – Head Office – Brisbane

Chefs Wanted – Multiple Positions
We are seeking experienced, hands on Chefs to join our team, on either a Permanent Placement or Contract (minimum 6 months).
Our 4 star properties offer our patrons a high standard of motel accommodation, in house restaurants as well as catering for large conferences, weddings and events.
To be considered for a Chef’s role in one of our motels, you will need to demonstrate previous experience in the following:
* Preparation and cooking of high quality meals – minimum of 5 years experience
* Experience in the management of kitchens including ordering, stock control, food cost and budget targets
* Ability to work solo or as part of a team and where applicable communicate needs to your colleagues
* A high level of interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
* Through knowledge of WHS and good hygiene and cleaning standards – both personal and for the kitchen
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts across breakfast and dinner – 6 days per week

Grounds & Maintenance All-rounder – Caravan Park & Cabins
Outback Caravan Park and Cabins (part of Southern Cross Motel Group) is a large park located in Tennant Creek and we are seeking an experienced Grounds & Maintenance All-rounder to assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy park.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of the daily operations within each department of the motel, including Red Shop, reception, bar & seasonal food and beverage, housekeeping, grounds and maintenance.
- Assist in the running of the onsite retail shop.
- Maintain the overall look of the caravan park including the grounds and cabins.
- Carry out routine maintenance as required on the cabins and the park.
- Must have maintenance experience in a caravan park or motel environment.
- Knowledge of how to use and maintain power tools and various small plant machinery is necessary.
- Resolving guest concerns in a timely and appropriate manner to ensure optimum guest satisfaction.
- Ensuring the park is compliant with all company guidelines, as well as all laws including WH&S, licensing, fire regulations and essential services.
